Great Gift Baskets Policy
Delivery Policy
Delivery Service:
- We are closed on Sundays and Canadian Holidays, there is no delivery these days.
Specific Times:
- We are unable to guarantee delivery at a specific time; deliveries are normally made within a time frame of a few hours. During major holidays delivery hours are extended.
If Recipient is not home:
- If the recipient is not available to receive the delivery, the delivery person may leave the delivery with a neighbour, or leave a note on the recipient's door asking them to call Great Gift Baskets to arrange a convenient time for re-delivery.
Incorrect Addresses:
- If the recipient's address is incorrect and delivery was attempted to the address, there is a $11.00 address correction fee. We are not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted by the customer. If such a delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.
- We are unable to deliver to a PO Box address.
Request to leave item at door:
- The customer assumes all liability for requests to leave a gift basket on a doorstep. We cannot be held responsible for missing or faulty product due to this special request.
Cancellation Policy:
- You may cancel an order prior to the delivery date. Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been designed and are on delivery, or if delivery has been attempted and cannot be completed if recipient is unavailable. Orders that are placed with incorrect information (i.e. wrong address) that prevents direct delivery cannot be cancelled.
Substitution Policy:
- Great Gift Baskets will make every attempt to fill the order as requested. However, due to seasonal volume, it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value. As well, if a specific container or other items are not available we will make a substitution of equal or greater value. We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the specific gift basket by the overall shape, size, style and colour combinations.
Balloons Delivery:
- Many hospitals do not allow latex balloons, therefore only mylar balloons may be sent with hospital orders.
FREE - we will e-mail or snail-mail you a picture of your custom made basket so you know exactly what you sent.
Currency
All our prices are quoted in Canadian dollars. All US dollars listed on our website are approximate.
Taxes
- 5% GST (Good and Services Tax) will be added to all shipments originating in or being delivered within Canada.
Enclosure gift cards:
All our gifts and gift baskets include a gift card with your message and name. Please make sure you enter your name/s at the time of ordering so the recipient knows who the gift is coming from. Great Gift Baskets is not responsible for mispellings.
Beer, Wine and Spirits
As stated by the Alberta Liquor Control Act, we are allowed to include alcohol in our gift baskets and ship it within the Alberta province only to recipients over the age of 19.
Under the Alberta Liquor Control Act we are not permitted to store any alcohol at our premises. However, we can purchase the liquor for you at any liquor store and charge you the liquor store price plus a $5.00 pick up fee.
If there is any special bottle selection or brand that you would like us to include in the gift basket, just let us know and we will be happy to get if for you.
Privacy Policy
All information provided to Great Gift Baskets remains secure and confidential and it is not shared or sold under any circumstances. For extra security, all orders placed online are removed from our server within 48 hours.
